Wow, we were so pleasantly surprised by this place! It is beautiful from the outside - feels like you have been transported to Europe. We didn't get a chance to try it but the restaurant looks wonderful and gives such a warm, welcoming ambiance to the hotel, candlelit and romantic. There is still an old elevator in the historic building - which works perfectly well and efficiently - adding even more charm. The staff are genuine and so welcoming, Belinda in particular was fantastic and provided a personalised service. Our room was enormous by hotel standards, and felt more like our home than a hotel room, a unique layout, with great big windows and an incredibly comfortable bed - best night's sleep we've had in a while. Also parking was a breeze, which can be difficult in Miami - only $15 overnight in the secure lot across the street, and there is plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel. We searched all over Miami for a nice, convenient base to explore the city but wanted something with more charm than a generic chain and more reasonable than an overpriced resort (every other place of similar quality was charging more than double this rate), and in the end we chose to stay in Coral Gables simply because of this hotel. It's hard to find places like this anymore - all at once unique, historic, charming AND very clean, comfortable, modern AND absolutely incredible value.

Staff were really friendly and always around to help, while not overly so that it ever felt invasive. I really like that the hotel delivers the packages to the room, which is a great plus for me! While it's a a renovated boutique hotel from a historic landmark and maintained a lot of those historic features, it seems to be mostly be on the aesthetics as the water ran hot quickly, the AC unit was not too loud, internet was consistent streaming, and everything was just clean and comfortable. The fact that I'm submitting a review about this hotel probably speaks a lot about the positive experience I had there!

This historic hotel has old-world charm and a staff that work hard to please. The location is excellent, and enabled me to walk or take the Trolley to the places I wanted to visit. Traveling to my room in the original 1940s elevator with an attendant added too that experience. The bed was very comfortable, and the decor was lovely. The walk-in shower was easy. I liked that the hotel is eco-friendly and everything is environmentally-sustainable. The free coffee and water in the lobby and filtered water in my room were appreciated. I look forward to returning next year!

The room is great and in line with what one may expect from this hotel. The bed is huge and extra comfortable. There are two different systems for cooling off the room -- AC and a ceiling fan--clever! The shower is big and fancy. I very much appreciated the TV. The staff is very nice and kind. Room service is excellent. The location is fantastic -- immerse in the Miracle Mile neighborhood, close to several beautiful stores and restaurants. Recommended!

The hotel's location in the heart of Coral Gables is ideal, with shopping centers, restaurants, and business hubs in close proximity. The value for money is reasonable, and they offer daily supplies of water and coffee in the rooms. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy, towels are soft. Recommended!
