Wow, we were so pleasantly surprised by this place! It is beautiful from the outside - feels like you have been transported to Europe. We didn't get a chance to try it but the restaurant looks wonderful and gives such a warm, welcoming ambiance to the hotel, candlelit and romantic. There is still an old elevator in the historic building - which works perfectly well and efficiently - adding even more charm. The staff are genuine and so welcoming, Belinda in particular was fantastic and provided a personalised service. Our room was enormous by hotel standards, and felt more like our home than a hotel room, a unique layout, with great big windows and an incredibly comfortable bed - best night's sleep we've had in a while. Also parking was a breeze, which can be difficult in Miami - only $15 overnight in the secure lot across the street, and there is plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel. We searched all over Miami for a nice, convenient base to explore the city but wanted something with more charm than a generic chain and more reasonable than an overpriced resort (every other place of similar quality was charging more than double this rate), and in the end we chose to stay in Coral Gables simply because of this hotel. It's hard to find places like this anymore - all at once unique, historic, charming AND very clean, comfortable, modern AND absolutely incredible value.

The room was so lovely, well styled and modern beautiful bathroom. The building character is stunning including the old style lift The staff were lovely and we had the best stay The room was well cleaned The location was great, we lovely food stops around. It was easy to get to and from by taxi and a good distance to all parts of miami including mimai beach (30ish min), dolphin mall (30ish mins), the everglades (45 mins) and airport (15mins)

It was like a time WELL MAINTAINED AND UPDATED time capsule. A MANUAL elevator, actual keys, and windows that open!?!? It was really nice. The location is perfect to walk, scoot, run, eat, entertain. Close the public transportation. The restaurant downstairs is very luxurious. The building reminds me of a model scale of the Flat Iron building in NYC. Very comfortable bed and the room was spacious

Lovely and historic-feeling hotel in a nice upscale area! Tons of restaurants around, especially on Giralda ave. The building is beautiful from outside and inside - the ivy is remarkable. Roughly a 10-min drive from Miami International. Room is excellent value for the price. Special thanks to Carmen at the front desk for her help and recommendations!

Artem

Loved the old manually controlled elevator attended by staff; the old historical photos lining the hallways. Liked the complimentary coffee and tea; the walkability to restaurants; the safety of the area; the reasonably priced parking next door.
